Rain, Rain, Go Away.

This weekend I learned my first bit of weather advice up here in San Francisco; Don't walk to the grocery store when it's rain. It really was a difficult situation. On my way there I was fortunate enough to use my umbrella. However, due to the obnoxious amount of wind I ended up looking like this adorable man minus the mustache and I'm guessing English accent.

I was rather unfortunate looking. Due to my oh so bright thinking I found it necessary to buy a case of Diet Coke while at the market (as Ann would say); therefore, leaving me unable to use my umbrella on my walk back to my dorm. I did have a raincoat on, but that didn't help because the wind was blowing the rain right into my face and all down the front of me. I literally took another shower on my way back; my entire body was soaked. You know when it's raining and you're driving in your car and you see that person walking with no umbrella and they're sopping wet? Well that was me. Kind of like these fine women.

Needless to say by the time I got back to my room I was a hot frickin mess. I now know when it rains don't walk to the grocery store, or better yet don't even go outside. Hope you all had a great weekend. Peace & Love.

Half Way There.

Midterms are finally over. Phew. This week was so stressful I'm just glad it's over. I will now spend the whole weekend doing whatever I want; Mainly laying in bed all day watching TV. I have nothing to worry about and it feels nice. That's all that's really going on right now. Except...

I wanted to share this video of Willow Smith's (Will Smith's daughter) new music video for her 1st single "Whip My Hair". I am literally obsessed. I've watched it like a million times. Can you believe this girl is only 9 years old? AMAZING! What a talented little girl. I wish I was as fierce as her.

Art School.

Halle-FRICKIN-lujah for art school, but literally praise the lord (mine goes by the name Anna Wintour). Who knew people go to school and do things like make collages, write about fashion week, and draw for homework, (well that last one I knew about)? I hope you're realizing how much I love my school. It is absolutely amazing. I have yet to run into a teacher who tells me to write a 10 page paper about something I don't care about like the Russian Revolution, which of course just makes me as happy as a kid in a candy shop, or when my baby Ashton sees a piece of chocolate cake (Oh how I love that boy). Well basically I'll stop babbling now and let you guys see some of the work I've done. I hope you love it as much as I do. I've been working really hard, but still having so much fun.

So here are some of the collages I've done. For my Business of Fashion class we had to get an inspiration book and put something in it each week. The first is a collage I did one some of my favorite shows from New York Fashion Week, they include: Prabal Gurung, Marc Jacobs, Rag & Bone, Jason Wu, Rodarte and Thakoon.

This next collage is one from when I went to SFMOMA. What a beautiful museum. My Grammy was nice enough to get me a membership so I know I'll be going there all the time, get ready for many SFMOMA posts.

The last is a collage I did after we watched The September Issue in my Business of Fashion class. I have seen the movie many times and love it even more each time. This time we had to write up a review of the movie and that had me thinking about The September Issue far after class was over. While it is obvious that I believe Anna Wintour is an absolute genius, comparable to Albert Einstein in my opinion, many people not in the fashion world do not know about a woman by the name of Grace Coddington. She is the Creative Director of Vogue and such a brilliant woman. It is easy to say that she is the best stylist that has ever lived, however I do one day plan to show her up. She believes that fashion is the fantasy world and it is evident in all of her work. She does what nobody else can. Unlike Anna Wintour who is considered a celebrity, and I suspect loves that, Grace is not and is only concerned with the beauty of fashion and the fashion world. You could say she is somewhat of a loner, which I absolutely love because I consider myself a loner also. She is literally the crazy old woman who lives alone with her cats. I recommend you all rent The September Issue or just go buy it because it is just that fabulous. Now here is my collage devoted to Grace, I guess you could say I have  girl crush on her, and I am so proud of that.

And now here are some of the illustration I have done. I was definitely most nervous about this class when school started. While I have occasionally doodled while bored in probably all my high school classes I have never really drawn live models, especially nude ones. So I am rather proud of what I have done.

And finally this week we started water coloring in my illustration class. I absolutely love it. It seems to make everything so much more beautiful. As most of you know I absolutely love color, which makes this so much fun for me. It's also great because I feel like I can fix any imperfections with the swipe of the brush. I hope you like these as much as I do. Here you go..

Well I've feel like I've babbled my life away and this might be the longest post in the history of blogging, but I was really excited to show all of this to you. Can you believe this is my homework? Because I still cant. I hope you enjoyed my work as much as I do and that everyone is fabulous. Peace & Love.
